Black Lightning’s introduction to Crisis on Infinite Earths just might be a bit unconventional as actor Cress Williams has teased a surprise entrance for the character.
While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Black Lightning star Cress Williams talked about his interactions with the cast members of Crisis on Infinite Earths and how several of them were jealous of how his mask was attached to his face. More interestingly, however, was Cress Williams teasing of a surprise entrance for Black Lightning on Crisis on Infinite Earths and how Black Lightning is a stranger to all the other characters in the show:
“Black Lightning gets pulled into the conflict in a very surprising way. He’s not prepared for it. So, he doesn’t know these people. He’s getting introduced into the world for the very first time, and so there’s some conflict early on when he’s trying to figure out, who are you people and why am I here? He’s kind of left off-center, which was really fun to play.”
Cress Williams’ Black Lightning holds a unique place in the CW Arrowverse in that the character has not had a crossover with any of the other shows. This at long last will be changing with the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. It seems, however, that Cress Williams’ Black Lightning will have to overcome a few obstacles and a surprising introduction in order for this to happen.
