Has the title for Black Panther 3 already been revealed? The Shadows of Wakanda sit at the heart of the MCU’s latest rumor.
Black Panther 3 is one of the few projects that fans know is coming down the MCU’s pipeline, but hasn’t started production quite yet. Even though the film has been public knowledge for years, fans don’t even have as much as a title to start speculating on.
At least, until now. A heavily circulated rumor from the Production List has many speculation that the title for Black Panther 3 may end up being Black Panther: Shadows of Wakanda. Production List has a spotty track record to say the least. Sometimes it has some major scoops, such as the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie filming in Louisiana. Other times, it can be least reliable than even the shadiest of leakers on Twitter.
What Are The Shadows Of Wakanda?
The reason Shadows of Wakanda is an interesting title for Black Panther 3 is due to the connotations that shadows have with the Black Panther himself. In the comics, T’Challa is the progenitor of something called “Shadow Physics”. It’s a discipline that mixes Wakandan technology and magic to allow some crazy shenanigans, which can and has included tapping into the Multiverse and gaining the memories of other Black Panthers.
Given the rumor mill is suggesting that Black Panther 3 will be introducing a new version of T’Challa into the MCU, the use of Shadow Physics in Shadows of Wakanda could serve as an interesting way to meld the two versions of the larger story together- while also providing fans with some amazingly complex visuals and interesting new tech.
