A new photo snapped from the set of Scarlett Johansson’s upcoming Black Widow movie reveals the Marvel standalone film’s official logo.
Filming on Scarlett Johansson’s long-awaited Black Widow film is currently underway in Budapest and a recent set photo reveals the film’s official logo featured on the back of a set chair. The logo itself stays true to the comic, featuring the iconic hourglass along with the Marvel Studios logo above. You can check it out below.
Being that the film is still early in its production, and has yet to be announced, it’s possible this will not be the final logo for the Scarlett Johansson film but what do you think? Do you like this logo for the Black Widow movie? Let us know in the comments below!
Marvel has tapped Cate Shortland (Lore) to direct the film centered on the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most popular female character from a script written by Ned Benson and Jac Schaeffer. Schaeffer is best known for writing Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, and the 2009 sci-fi romance TiMER which she also directed.
Plot details are still under wraps but the film is expected to spotlight events prior to the Scarlett Johansson’s debut as Natasha Romanoff in Iron Man 2. In the comics, Natasha Romanoff was trained by the Winter Soldier himself, Bucky Barnes, played by Sebastian Stan in the MCU though there have been no rumors of him appearing in the film.
Starring in the film alongside Scarlett Johansson is Stranger Things star David Harbour, as well as Florence Pugh who is rumored for the role of Yelena Belova, the second character to take up the mantle of Black Widow. In addition, the Scarlett Johansson-led film has also cast O-T Fagbenle and Rachel Weisz who has been reported to be circling what is being described as a “key role” in the project.
