New photos from the set of the Black Widow solo film have hit the web and offer fans a new look at Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff.
Many Black Widow fans were disappointed to see the death of their favorite character in Avengers: Endgame. Marvel Cinematic Universe fans were also caught off guard as many people thought Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow would be safe as it had been announced before Endgame‘s release that she would be receiving her own solo film. However, with her death in Avengers: Endgame, many are curious about when the film will take place.
Many have speculated the Black Widow film may be somewhat of a prequel, flashing back to events taking place before the character’s introduction in Iron Man 2. However, recent reports suggest that the film may actually take place after the events of Captain America: Civil War.
While we still know very little about the project, fans can get excited as production is officially underway, with set photos showing the return of Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow. You can check out the set photos below!

Black Widow’s look here is similar to the one she had in recent MCU movies, with her hair being longer and fully red. While we still don’t know for sure when this film will take place or what it will be about, we do know who will join Scarlett Johansson. Recently, Stranger Things actor David Harbour signed on for an undisclosed role alongside Fighting With My Family star Florence Pugh. Additionally, Rachel Weiss is in talks for a key role in the movie.
