‘Black Widow’: Taskmaster Eyes Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha In New Promo Image

Marvel Studios’ released a new Black Widow promotional image featuring Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff and Taskmaster.

Marvel Studios’ will soon take audiences back in time to events in between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War with Black Widow. Due to be released in theaters in roughly two months, the film will mark the first time Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff has taken the lead role since her debut in Iron Man 2 a decade ago.

The film will also mark the first Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance of the villainous Taskmaster, a  mercenary with the ability to replicate the actions of those he observes. Now, Marvel Studios has released a new promotional image that offers a close-up look at Taskmaster’s mask as he sets his sights on Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff.

In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller “Black Widow,” Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

Directed by Cate Shortland from a script written by Eric Pearson based on a story by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson, Marvel Studios’ Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, Ray Winstone, Olivier Richters, and Rachel Weisz.

Black Widow will be released in theaters on May 1, 2020.
