New ‘Black Widow’ Trailer Features Awesome Iron Maiden Easter Egg

Black Widow Iron Maiden

The final Black Widow trailer shows off a surprising Iron Maiden easter egg, referencing Melina Vostokoff’s villainous alter-ego.

While some fans theorized that Rachel Weisz’s Melina Vostokoff might end up being Taskmaster, there’s a good chance Black Widow will show her embracing her Iron Maiden identity like her comic book counterpart. The final Black Widow trailer featured a fleeting Εaster egg to the metallic Iron Maiden costume from the comics. Although Iron Maiden has no super powers of her own, the suit she wears increases her strength and reflexes.

The Iron Maiden Εaster egg was spotted by MCUCosmic, who noticed that Rachel Weisz stands in front of the mask when she opens up a secret door. Whether this implies that she’s already worn the Iron Maiden costume or it’s just a souvenir remains to be seen. It wouldn’t be surprising if by the end of the film, we see Melina wear a version of the Iron Maiden costume, or at least something that references her other identity. Take a look at the Iron Maiden Easter egg from the trailer below.
