Blade writer Stacy Osei-Kuffour has shared behind-the-scenes images from virtual meetings with Kevin Feige, Mahershala Ali, and a variety of other Marvel creatives.

Mahershala Ali’s take on Blade is one of the most anticipated films coming out of the Marvel Studios machine. Studio President Kevin Feige has assembled an all-star creative team to reboot the vampire hunter’s story for the golden age of superhero films. Joining director Bassim Tariq is screenwriter Stacy Osei-Kuffour, who lent her creative talents to the Watchmen series.

The screenwriter took to her Instagram stories to share behind-the-scenes screenshots from virtual meetings held for the development of the film. The meetings show the screenwriter alongside Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, star Mahershala Ali, director Bassim Tariq, and producers Eric Hausserman Carroll and Louis D’Esposito.

As indicated by the clothing worn by the creatives, these two meetings took place on separate occasions. We don’t know when these meetings took place but if you take a look at Kevin Feige’s hat, you can see that he’s rocking a Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings one. This makes us think the snaps were taken all the way back during last summer. Since then, Mahershala Ali’s Blade made his informal debut in Eternals‘ post-credits scene, though it was just the star’s voice.

Here is the synopsis for Chloe Zhao’s Eternals:

The story takes place across two time periods. One storyline is set in the past when they operated as a formidable team and a close family unit. The second storyline is in the present, when the group has fractured and split apart, content to live among humans, hiding in plain sight. The prevailing threat of the Deviants, which once again threatens the existence of mankind, means the Eternals need to put their differences aside and regroup.

Chloe Zhao directed Eternals from a script she co-wrote with Patrick Burleigh, Kaz Firpo, and Ryan Firpo. The cast of the Marvel Studios project includes Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, Salma Hayek as Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as Thena.

Eternals will hit Disney Plus on January 12 and home media formats on February 15. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the future of the film’s characters, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content!
