Screenwriter Zack Stentz revealed his script for the Booster Gold film is complete during an interview on The Fanboy Podcast.
Two years ago, Zack Stentz confirmed he was writing the script for a Booster Gold film with Greg Berlanti producing and possibly directing as well. However, there’s has been little to no word on the status of the project aside from Greg Berlanti assuring fans the film is still in development in March 2018.
Now, Zack Stentz has confirmed he handed in his script for the Booster Gold film and that it was well-received by Greg Berlanti. However, Stentz revealed that he does not know what will become of the project as Warner Bros. and DC have yet to greenlight the film:
“I do not know what’s going on with it right now, honestly. And I don’t know if the DC people know what’s going on with it. Their strategy seems to change depending on how […] most recent movie did. But I can tell you that a script has been turned in that the director and producer, Greg Berlanti, has proclaimed himself to be very happy with. And it’s something that’s ready to go, but DC and Warner Bros. would need to give the greenlight to it. The ball is in their court.”
