Brandon Routh Superman Kingdom Come Crisis on Infinite Earths

Superman Returns star Brandon Routh has revealed the first look of him reprising his role as the last son of Krypton in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Brandon Routh is set to return as Superman after his brief appearance as the character in Superman Returns. It wasn’t the financial and critical success that the studio wanted, so Brandon Routh’s tenure as Superman was made brief. However, fans of the film were excited to hear that he would be returning to the role for Crisis on Infinite Earths. While details are brief on his return, we do have our first official look from the actor himself. In a new post on Instagram, the Crisis on Infinite Earths star shared the first official photo of him returning as Superman and he even has the character’s iconic curl.

The image revealed a silhouette of Brandon Routh preparing to wear the Superman costume once again. Brandon Routh’s Superman will be the Kingdom Come version of the character for Crisis on Infinite Earths and it is a safe bet that his costume will be similar to the one from the comics. Brandon Routh’s reprisal of the role in Crisis on Infinite Earths is sure to be one to remember.

Crisis On Infinite Earths will span two quarters and consist of ArrowThe FlashSupergirlLegends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. The Arrowverse crossover will launch with three episodes in December before concluding with two additional episodes in January.

In addition to the regular cast members of each Arrowverse series, Crisis on Infinite Earths will also feature appearances by Tyler Hoechlin as Superman, Brandon Routh as Clark Kent/Superman and Ray Palmer/The Atom, LaMonica Garrett as the Anti-Monitor, Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor, Tom Cavanagh as Pariah, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne, Johnathon Schaech as Jonah Hex and Tom Welling as Clark Kent / Superman. Burt Ward is also on board in an undisclosed role.
