‘Captain Marvel’ Star Brie Larson Commemorates Landing The Role

Has it really been four years since that Comic-Con announcement?

Brie Larson took to Twitter to commemorate four years since she landed her Marvel Cinematic Universe role in Captain Marvel.

Although Captain Marvel star Brie Larson’s entry into the MCU still feels relatively fresh it’s actually been four years since she was announced as the live-action Carol Danvers, and the actress has been reminiscing on social media about landing the role. Most recently, Larson revealed that she got the role long before fans found out, noting a photo she posted posing with a model of Jabba the Hut. Although it seems like it could be a while before we see Captain Marvel 2, a rumor earlier this year suggested it’ll set up the next Avengers movie.

Captain Marvel star Brie Larson shared a number of photos from across the four years since it was announced she’d star in the film at San Diego Comic-Con. The new shots gave fans an insight behind-the-scenes of stepping into the suit as well as some memories from the world premiere of the film. One hilarious shot shows Larson taking a break with two Skrulls during the sequence where she wakes up aboard their ship. Take a look at the star commemorating the role below.
