While The Marvels was far from the best received project in the MCU, fans loved the chemistry shared between the film’s stars: Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, and Teyonah Parris. This has left many to wonder if Marvel has any plans to reunite the group in lieu of a proper sequel. According to the Captain Marvel star, it’s an idea she’d personally love to explore.
“I just loved being with those ladies so much,” Larson told The Playlist in a recent chat. “And I think that the sentiment of it is so right to me and is much more where I’m at in my life, which is, there’s no one superhero that can save us.”
“It takes all kinds of people that have their own special skill sets and the ability to understand that the brink of disaster cannot be stopped by one. It’s all of us coming together. So that feels really right to me. And you know, as for the future, there’s things that I know, but I can’t tell you.”
It seems that Brie Larson has some high hopes that she’ll be reuniting with Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris on the silver screen. Some fans were skeptical that Captain Marvel would ever return to the big screen after The Marvels flopped. However, Marvel clearly has some plans. Perhaps bigger plans than Larson could let on!
Brie Larson Speaks On Potential Avengers Return
It seems Marvel’s plan for Brie Larson may not be limited to a runback on The Marvels with Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris. The Captain Marvel actress ployed coy when asked about the possibility of coming back for one of the future Avengers movies. According to Larson, even if she said she didn’t know anything, that would make fans think there was something to know!
“I can’t say anything and I can’t even say that I don’t know anything, because that might mean that there’s something to say or not say,” Larson continued. “So I’ll just say that I can’t say.”
Given how open Brie Larson was about a potential reunion with Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris, her silence on the topic of an Avengers return likely means something is coming down the pipeline. However, given that’s the very speculation she commented on when it comes to Marvel fans, it may be impossible to know when she’ll be seen next after The Marvels!
