Captain Marvel star Brie Larson has received considerable backlash after promoting NFTs.

NFTs, everyone’s either an opinion on them or an OpenSea account filled with Ape pictures. As NFTs have grown in popularity, so have celebrity endorsements of the non-fungible tokens that you totally can’t right-click and save. The latest major celeb to promote NFTs is none other than Captain Marvel star Brie Larson, who is set to return as Carol Danvers in The Marvels, which hits cinemas later next year.

The Captain Marvel star took to Twitter to share her latest NFT purchase, which also happens to be her new profile picture.

Clearly, a promotion for the Flower Girls NFT brand, fans of Brie Larson took to social media to roast the star for her decision to support the digital item.

Regardless of what you think about NFTs, these are some pretty damning comments against Brie Larson. The Captain Marvel star hasn’t publically commented on the backlash she’s faced for promoting the NFTs and is continuing to post content. The star most recently posted a Nissan ad she’s set to star in for the Super Bowl. The replies she’s received continue to call her out for her promotion. Yikes.

Brie Larson made her MCU debut in Captain Marvel. Here is the synopsis:
