Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel is looking at a great box office debut with IMAX ticket presales tracking ahead of Wonder Woman.
Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel appears to be doing as great as recently-released Marvel films, tracking ahead of Deadpool 2 and Thor: Ragnarok at nine days out. The film is also outpacing Wonder Woman. IMAX ticket sales appear to be going great and many critics are agreeing that Captain Marvel is a superb film. The film has been receiving positive feedback and now fans want to see what it has in store for one of Marvel’s most powerful characters.
Captain Marvel was previously tracking for a massive $100M-plus debut so there is no doubt the film could be outpacing other films like Wonder Woman for its IMAX release. Wonder Woman opened with $103 million and it appears Captain Marvel will do as great if not better. Wonder Woman’s origin was such a huge hit for Warner Bros. that a sequel is currently in the works.
