Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel leads Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America in a new image for Avengers: Endgame.
Avengers: Endgame has a myriad of superheroes. To the already known Avengers surviving team, Captain Marvel is most certainly joining the ranks of our beloved heroes to finally beat Thanos and restore the universe after the Decimation event in Avengers: Infinity War. But will Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel have the chops to inspire leadership amongst Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America? Well, this image certainly seems to be pointing in that direction. Check it out:

We still don’t have a clear hint of how Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel will come to the aid of Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America to defeat Thanos. We know that at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury used a pager and the logo for Captain Marvel appeared on screen, calling out to her. Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark was utterly defeated by Thanos on Titan and so was Chris Evans’ Captain America after watching the Mad Titan snap his fingers and wiping out half of the universe. After the Avengers: Endgame trailer dropped in December, we found out that Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark was drifting in space alongside Nebula while Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers was still mourning the disappearance of his teammates and trying to deal with it.
Will Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers inspire Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark and Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers to fight once again? Is that her true role in Avengers: Endgame? Only time will tell when the film hits theaters in April later this year.
