New ‘Bumblebee’ Clips Feature Heartwarming Fun & John Cena

Bumblebee Movie Transformers Hailee Steinfeld John Cena

The weekend before Christmas 2018 is going to be one of the most competitive at the box office in recent years. With Star Wars sitting the holiday season out after three years on top, films such as Bumblebee will compete for audience’s attention at the cinema. And with great promotional material and footage teasing the first Transformers spinoff film, it looks like this franchise has been given a new, heartwarming life in this new film which stars Hailee Steinfeld and John Cena.

Two new clips for the upcoming film showcase the more heartwarming tone that Travis Knight’s film will take compared to Michael Bay’s five previous films in the franchise. The first clip involves Steinfeld’s Charlie with Bumblebee on the beach, as she tries to help him learn to hide. Obviously, adorable results ensue:

Another clip was released, in which we see Bumblebee in action as he is being chased down in a forest by none other than Charlie’s father, who is portrayed by John Cena:

These clips alone have more heart in them than all of Michael Bay’s recent Transformers films. Bay has his signature style and strengths as a filmmaker, but it’s nice to see someone like Travis Knight step in to give his own take on the franchise.
