Harley Quinn co-creator Paul Dini has shared his support for the subtitle of the DC spin-off film Birds of Prey starring Margot Robbie.

Robbie took to social media earlier this week to reveal the full title for the next film featuring her breakout Suicide Squad character. The title Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). was met with a mixed response from fans with many mocking and rejecting the title over its length. In the midst of the fan reaction came some positive support from the Harley Quinn co-creator.

In a Facebook post, Dini shared his support for the title and revealed why he loves it. Check it out below!

Robbie stars in the Birds of Prey film alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Ella Jay Basco, and Ewan McGregor.

DC Comics’ Birds of Prey are an international crimefighting team featuring heroines such as Oracle (Barbara Gordon), Black Canary (Dinah Laurel Lance) and the Huntress (Helena Bertinelli). The comic book team’s current lineup consists of Black Canary, Huntress, and Lady Blackhawk, along with Hawk and Dove. The film will feature the female superhero team coming together to protect Cassandra Cain after she comes across a diamond which belongs to Gotham crime lord Black Mask, played by McGregor.

Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs) is set to direct the film from a script written by Bumblebee writer Christina Hodson, who has also written the studio’s Batgirl film. Birds of Prey will be produced by Sue Kroll under her Kroll & Co Entertainment banner along with Clubhouse Pictures’ Bryan Unkeless, and Robbie.
