New ‘Bumblebee’ Trailer Features More Footage & Robotic Shenanigans

Bumblebee Transformer Hailee SteinfeldA brand new trailer for the upcoming Transformers standalone film Bumblebee has been released, showing off some more exciting footage of this new blockbuster centered on one of the most-beloved characters in all of Transformers.

The new trailer shows off more of the action that Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) is bringing to the world that has been famously brought to life in live-action form from Michael Bay in five films. It is refreshing to see a new director with a fresh take on the property, and it sure looks like Bumblebee will not only be heavily involved with the action, but will even deal with some fun shenanigans such as trying to hide from threats and even teepeeing someone’s house.

Although the films have consistently been profitable at the box office, the Transformers franchise has continuously been panned from critics with each new entry. However, with a new director at the helm with this prequel spinoff centered on Bumblebee, we may be looking at our first film to be Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. After all, the trailers have been more dynamic and heartwarming than any of the last few films combined.

When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.

Directed by Travis Knight from a script written by Christina Hodson, the film stars Hailee Steinfeld, Pamela Adlon, John Cena, Stephen Schneider, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Jason Ian Drucker, Kenneth Choi, Ricardo Hoyos, Abby Quinn, Rachel Crow, and Grace Dzienny.
