Captain America: Brave New World Rumor May Reveal A Huge Wolverine Easter Egg

Looks like Adamantium will be getting its MCU origin.

Captain America Brave New World Wolverine Adamantium

Captain America: Brave New World sets up Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as the new star spangled superhero, but the problem is, he is not an enhanced super soldier like his predecessor Steve Rogers. Wilson is just a mere mortal.

However, a new detail has surfaced which may explain how Wilson is able to handle the super heroics as a mortal. According to somewhat reliable scooper @MyTimeToShineH, the film will introduce the metal Adamantium, which is best known in the Marvel comics as the virtually indestructible steel alloy named after the fabled metal Adamantine of Greek mythology.

Adamantium was bonded over Wolverine’s bones from the Weapon X experiment. According to, “The Japanese scientist Lord Dark Wind was the first to propose a procedure by which Adamantium could be bonded to a human skeleton. Dark Wind’s theory was practiced by the ClanDestine Weapon X Program who subjected their former mutant operative, Wolverine, to the procedure.

The description added: “Wolverine’s mutant healing factor allowed him to survive the process and induced a molecular change in the metal, transforming it into a wholly new metal, named Adamantium Beta that does not inhibit the biological processes of bone.”

Previous rumors suggested that the remains of the frozen Celestial Tiamut from Eternals will be the source of adamantium and the Japanese will figure out how it can be turned into steel alloy.

So will Sam Wilson’s upgraded Captain America suit be made from adamantium? If the shield is made from Vibranium and the suit is made from adamantium, then Wilson stands a good chance of going toe to toe with the Red Hulk. The preceding is just a theory, but probably one that will end up being accurate somehow.

Following the conclusion of the Hollywood strikes in November 2023, Disney delayed the release of Captain America: New World Order by seven months to February 14, 2025, allowing time for necessary reshoots. During an earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Iger highlighted Captain America 4 as one of the 2025 releases he is most enthusiastic about.

Julius Onah is directing Captain America: Brave New World, working from a script by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. The cast of the movie also includes Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley and Shira Haas as Sabra, with Xosha Roquemore on board in an undisclosed role.
