Captain America and Avengers: Endgame star Chris Evans has revealed that he loved his time with Marvel and already misses it.

Chris Evans first appeared in a Marvel film as Johnny Story in Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. He gained real notoriety, however, when he first appeared as Captain America in the 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger. He went on to reprise the role for its two sequels, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and all four of the Avengers films. The actor had been teasing at departing from the role for years which came to fruition at the end of Avengers: Endgame where the character retired and passed the Captain America mantle to Anthony Mackie’s Falcon. But it seems that Chris Evans already misses his time at Marvel.

While speaking to Backstage, Chris Evans revealed that he already misses Marvel but is now enjoying the ability to pursue other projects:

“I absolutely loved my time with Marvel; I already miss it. but there’s no denying that it is very exciting to just have complete freedom to pursue whatever my creative appetite wants.”
