Vin Diesel has just revealed that Cardi B has joined the cast of Fast and Furious 9.
Shortly after her acting debut in last month’s crime dramedy Hustlers, it seems as though Cardi B has secured herself a gig in a popular franchise. The singer/rapper appeared alongside Vin Diesel in a behind-the-scenes video for Fast and Furious 9, following the completion of all filming in Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. In the video, Vin Diesel reveals that Cardi B will be joining the family in the long-running car racing franchise.

Filming on Fast and Furious 9 still hasn’t finished, although Vin Diesel and Cardi B both appear to be exhausted. The movie is set to be the penultimate one in the franchise, as Vin Diesel has stated that he was committed to making 10 (not counting spin-offs) as part of an agreement with the late Paul Walker, who co-starred in most entries in the franchise prior to his passing. Multiple spin-offs are being planned for the series, with Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw being the first. A female-led movie also being developed, which is expected to star Jordana Brewster.
Directed by Justin Lin from a script written by Daniel Casey, Fast and Furious 9 stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Cena, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, and Cardi B. Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham opted out of this film in favor of starring in the spin-off Hobbs and Shaw.
Fast and Furious 9 is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on May 22, 2020. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Cardi B, Vin Disel, and his possible the Fast and Furious 9.
