Carmine Falcone Roasts ‘The Batman’ Suit In Latest TV Spot

Carmine Falcone isn't having it.

Robert Pattinson The Batman

Carmine Falcone makes fun of The Dark Knight’s suit in the latest TV spot for The Batman.

Robert Pattinson‘s debut as The Batman is set to hit cinemas in just over a month. The highly-anticipated DC reboot is set to introduce a whole swath of characters that we haven’t seen on the big screen in quite some time. The film will feature The Riddler as the primary villain but Selina Kyle/Catwoman and The Penguin are also set to appear as foils in Batman’s plans. If that roster wasn’t enough to stress Batman out, he’ll be disappointed to hear that crime boss Carmine Falcone is also in the mix.

John Turturro is set to appear as Gotham City’s most notorious crime boss Carmine Falcone in the film. Details on his character have been surprisingly slim and we’ve only gotten a look at the character recently. It’s unlikely that the villain plays a huge role in the film, but he’s clearly got some beef against The Batman.

A brand new TV spot for the Matt Reeves-directed film shows Batman escorting Carmine Falcone as he’s being arrested by police officers. In the short tease, Falcone jeers at Batman, calling out his mask and cape. It’s interesting to see how Falcone exhibits no fear of Batman. The Caped Crusader is still in his early days of crime-fighting so it makes sense that the veteran scum of Gotham don’t fear the vigilante just yet. The promo also goes on to tease the film’s other villains, namely The Riddler and The Penguin.

Here is the synopsis for The Batman:

Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.

When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman will hit theaters on March 4, 2022. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news surrounding the upcoming film!
