When are fans getting more Daredevil: Born Again? Charlie Cox gives fans a much needed update on production of season 2 of the Disney Plus series.
It’s no exaggeration to say that Daredevil: Born Again might be the most highly anticipated Disney Plus show of all time. However, with only half of the series order currently filled, fans have been scratching their heads wondering what is taking so long when it comes to starting production on season 2. Luckily, it seems Charlie Cox has the answer.
Charlie Cox recently made an appearance at GalaxyCon in Florida. While there, he gave an interesting update when it came to Daredevil: Born Again. Specifically, that season 2 will begin filming relatively soon. This is certainly good news in assuring that the seasons won’t have a years gap between them before dropping on Disney Plus. However, it wasn’t the only news Cox revealed.
Charlie Cox Reveals The Scrapped Daredevil Series
As many fans know, Daredevil: Born Again went through an almost complete creative reboot during production. This breathed new life into the Disney Plus series. It seems the choice was better than fans knew, as Charlie Cox revealed that the original plan was to cut all ties between the show and the original Netflix series.
“Elden wasn’t invited to join the show at first…” Cox explained. “Ghey had written in a cameo in the first episode to end the link between the shows and give the old fans closure they scrapped that in the new version.”
This lines up with early rumors that were circulating about Daredevil: Born Again. If they’re to be believed, the Disney Plus series originally had Foggy Nelson being killed off in the first episode. While perhaps an interesting Elseworlds concept, it seems both Charlie Cox and fans are happy with the new direction of the show. Production on season 2 can’t come fast enough!
