Is Daredevil: Born Again cooked? Charlie Cox reveals that the story they have in mind for season 3 has the chance to completely bomb with fans.
With Daredevil: Born Again gearing up to debut its second season, with its next season already in production, fans have been chomping at the bit to discover any news about what storyline the series could tackle in season 3. Though aside from some vague rumors, it seems like Marvel Studios has managed to keep the plot under wraps.
Though that may be because Daredevil: Born Again will tackle its most controversial story yet in season 3. While speaking with USA Today to promote season 2, Charlie Cox remarked that he’s excited for the big swing they’re taking next season, while also remaining concerned that it may not work out how they hope.
“There’s a pitch that was presented to both of us that is seismic, that we can’t talk about. It’s something that the show escalates towards, that I was equally excited about and excited to explore, and also concerned by because it’s something that, if not handled appropriately, could not be good…It’s a big, bold story point. I believe, and I hope, that it’s been handled really well.”
The Story Of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3
Reports have suggested that season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again will actually adapt a more recent run featuring the iconic hero. More specifically, it seems The Devil In Cell-Block D by Ed Brubaker and Michael Lark will serve as the basis for the series’ next outing, a report which was corroborated by a casting call seeking actors to portray criminals and gang members for the production.
Though with the Daredevil: Born Again crew currently filming season 3, it’s likely that set photos will confirm or debunk this report before season 2 reaches its finale. Though if it is true, the team certainly has their work cut out for them in trying to adapt such a new (but iconic) storyline for the character with so many puzzle pieces still missing.
Daredevil: Born Again is now streaming on Disney Plus, with season 2 set to release in March 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
