Is Daredevil actually in Spider-Man: Brand New Day? Charlie Cox gives his thoughts on one of the internet’s most pervasive rumors.
Ever since Charlie Cox was cast as Daredevil all the way back in 2014, fans have been begging for one thing: to see him crossover with Spider-Man. While that dream came close to being a reality thanks to his cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Matt Murdock ultimately never donned his cowl. This has left everyone hoping that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be the project that finally makes this dream a reality.
While at first the idea of Charlie Cox making a cameo in Spider-Man: Brand New Day was simply wishful thinking on the part of fans, that tune changed the other week when news came out about Cox’s travel schedule. Specifically, that he was going to film something in London. Even though it came out that he’s attached to an Apple TV project filming in the area, that doesn’t mean he CAN’T take a day to make a quick cameo on set.
Is Daredevil In Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
Luckily for fans, Charlie Cox made a quick stop at New York Comic-Con before his departure overseas. While there, Brandon Davis got to ask him some questions about the future of Daredevil. Surprisingly, it was actually Cox himself who broached the topic of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, going out of his way to pinky promise he won’t cameo in the film.
“I know they all think I’m in Spider-Man because I was filming something in London. Which I am not, I’m not in Spider-Man.”
Of course, nobody can ever trust a deconfirmation from a Marvel star, especially when it comes to a project like Spider-Man: Brand New Day. While nobody should count their chickens when it comes to Charlie Cox making a cameo in the film, it’s certainly not unreasonable to keep a tiny sliver of hope alive about the prospect.
