Daredevil star Charlie Cox wants to see his character’s rivalry with Bullseye explored in the MCU.
After years of anticipation, Spider-Man: No Way Home saw Charlie Cox’s Daredevil officially folded into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye series also brought in Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, setting a precedent that Netflix’s Marvel characters could one day pop up in the franchise.
It’s uncle when Charlie Cox will return as Daredevil but a future appearance has all but confirmed. The last time we saw him in his show, he was going up against one of his most infamous villains: Bullseye. Unfortunately, fans never got to see the rivalry fully explored as the series was canceled by Marvel.
Speaking with ComicBook.com, Charlie Cox discussed what he would like to see explored during his time in the MCU. One of the key aspects he’d be interested in seeing is his rivalry with Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye further explored.
“I really like the Black Widow, the Daredevil/Black Widow stuff. That relationship is really funny to me, I don’t know why. I find it really funny and sexy at the same time. Other than that, it’s difficult. The obvious one is Spiderman, isn’t it? That is the one, I would have to get more time with Bullseye. We just touched on that story, and we were just gearing up for it before we weren’t allowed to continue. I really enjoyed working with Wilson Bethel in that character. There’s so many, but I think the obvious one is, it would be really cool to get some Daredevil/Spiderman stuff, more stuff.”
Charlie Cox last appeared as Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Here is the synopsis for the film:
For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.
