The internet has rallied around a young boy named Bridger, who defended his sister from a vicious attack from a dog and suffered serious injuries in the process. Avengers star Chris Evans recently sent him a heartfelt message to praise him for his heroic actions. ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis helped organize the touching gesture, with other Avengers stars like Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth also sending Bridger supportive messages.
Bridger’s aunt, Nicole Walker, posted the touching video to Instagram, which shows the young hero watching the message sent to him by Chris Evans. In the video, Evans tells him how brave and selfless he is for jumping in the way of his sister, and pledges to send him a Captain America shield to thank him. The star also wished him well on his recovery, but said he doesn’t think it’ll slow him down after everything he’s been through so far.
