The script for Avengers: Endgame reveals how old Chris Evans’ Captain America is at the end of the Marvel Studios movie.
Thanks to Disney publishing the Avengers: Endgame script online as part of its Oscars campaign, it’s been revealed how old Chris Evans’ Captain America is when he travels back to the future at the end of the film. The news come soon after it became clear from the script that there were three unseen victims of the snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Secretary Ross, Wong and Jane Foster were all wiped out of existence thanks to Thanos’ snap.
The script reveals that when Chris Evans’ Captain America returns to the future, he’s 112 years old. The scene where he returns to Peggy Carter would have included a title card reading “Washington D.C., 1949” – just four years after Captain America crashed the Red Skull’s plane in the ocean to save the world during World War II. The page specifically reads that there’s “112 years of emotion on his face” as Chris Evans’ Captain America passes his shield to Sam Wilson.
