Are Thor and Loki finally going to reunite? Chris Hemsworth teases an incredibly emotional journey for fans heading into Avengers: Doomsday.
There’s a lot of pairings fans can’t wait to see in Avengers: Doomsday. Reed Richards and Namor, Cyclops and Steve Rogers, and of course Scarlet Witch and Magneto. However, perhaps the most anticipated pairing isn’t a new one. Rather, it’s a reunion. This is, obviously, referring to Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki.
While fans don’t know much officially about Avengers: Doomsday, there’s not even much information in the rumor mill when it comes to the two characters. Some reports vaguely suggest that Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth will exist within the same storyline in the project. However, given both Thor and Loki have taken such powerful thrones in the MCU, that doesn’t reveal much.
Chris Hemsworth Speaks On Thor & Loki’s Reunion
With Chris Hemsworth officially back on the red carpet to help promote his upcoming film Crime 101, the actor was asked by Variety if fans will cry when Thor and Loki reunite in Avengers: Doomsday. While the actor didn’t confirm that he’ll share the screen with Tom Hiddleston, he did say that the film will be a powerful journey for fans.
“I can’t…It’s a yes, no, maybe to that question… [Avengers: Doomsday is] incredibly emotional, incredibly powerful… it’s gonna blow you away this one. I don’t know how they did it.”
Of course, Chris Hemsworth is too experienced with the Marvel circuit to truly spoil anything about Avengers: Doomsday. However, given actors usually only read the script where it’s relevant to their character, his words suggest that Thor will go through a heartfelt journey in the film. And given how closely he has bonded with Loki, it’d be shocking if Tom Hiddleston WASN’T along for the ride.
