Marvel Studios has officially named Chris Hemsworth’s “Fat Thor” for a mini-documentary included with the upcoming home media release of Avengers: Endgame.
Within the first few minutes of Avengers: Endgame, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and the other surviving heroes of Infinity War ambushed Thanos with hopes of using the Infinity Stones to reverse his decimation. However, our heroes instantly learned the Mad Titan destroyed the stones to avoid the temptation of their power, consequently preventing the Avengers from using the items to bring back their fallen comrades.
Over the next five years, the Avengers dealt with their grief and guilt in their own way, with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor turning to drinking and isolation that resulted in the God of Thunder gaining significant weight. Fans quickly named the disheveled and portly God of Thunder “Fat Thor,” but Marvel Studios has given an official name to this version of Chris Hemsworth’s character by titling a mini-documentary on his transformation “Bro Thor.” The official description for the Thor featurette from Marvel Studios reads as follows
“His appearance has changed but his heroism remains! Go behind the scenes to see how Bro Thor was created”
