Chris Hemsworth dropped a behind-the-scenes look at the Mad Max prequel centered on Furiosa.
It’s been seven years since Mad Max: Fury Road hit theaters and took the world by storm. While the film wasn’t a huge hit for Warner Bros. financially, it did earn several Oscar nominations with many considering it one of the greatest action films of all time. Now, George Miller is stepping back into the Mad Max world with Furiosa, and Chris Hemsworth shared a first look at the prequel.
Anya-Taylor Joy will take on the role of Furiosa in the upcoming film after Charlize Theron played the character in Mad Max: Fury Road. Joining Joy in the prequel are Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, and Nathan Jones. Furiosa has a May 2024 release date after originally being set for 2023 with production finally getting underway in Australia. As a result, Hemsworth shared a behind-the-scenes image from the set of Furiosa which you can see below.
