Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder is reportedly shaping up to be massive and more in line with an Avengers film similar to Captain America: Civil War.
Marvel Studios appears to be giving the Avengers series a break after Endgame, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see team-ups in the future Phase 4 solo films. We already know that Doctor Strange will appear in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 and Scarlet Witch will be in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Hollywood Reporter now mentions Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder will likely feature several heroes as well since it’s now being described as having an “Avengers 5 feel.”
Both Doctor Strange and Hulk appeared in Thor: Ragnarok, but it’s unclear if they will return for Love and Thunder. We do know that Chris Hemsworth will be rejoined by other MCU heroes in the upcoming sequel like Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster as the Mighty Thor, Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, and Chris Pratt’s Star Lord. Batman actor Christian Bale is also on board to play the film’s mysterious villain and it’s safe to assume Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will play some kind of role in the sequel as well.
Which Avengers do you think will show up in Thor: Love and Thunder? Will we finally see Beta Ray Bill in the MCU? Feel free to speculate in the comments section below!
Full details on the plot for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder are currently under wraps, though the film will be partly based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, in which Jane Foster becomes the new Thor. Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Christian Bale.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on February 11, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Love and Thunder, the Avengers, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
