Thor: Love and Thunder star Christian Bale has landed in Australia to begin work on the Marvel Studios movie alongside Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth.

Christian Bale is the latest member of the Thor: Love and Thunder cast to arrive in Australia to start filming the sequel after Natalie Portman landed at the beginning of September. He’ll be living in the country for a while before production properly begins, as Chris Hemsworth recently revealed that he starts filming the sequel in January. It’s still not clear which character the former Batman star will portray in Love and Thunder, but if Tessa Thompson is to be believed, he’ll be villain of the film.

A blurry video from Kobie Thatcher on YouTube showed Christian Bale arriving in Australia via jet before heading for a minibus, presumably to go straight into quarantine. There’s been several suggestions for who the star might play in the Thor sequel, with villains like Dario Agger, Mephisto and even Gorr the God Butcher being thrown around by fans. Take a look at the star landing in Australia in the video below.

Who do you think Christian Bale will become in Thor: Love and Thunder? Are you excited for the sequel from Taika Waititi? Sound-off in the comments below!

Full details on the plot for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder are currently under wraps, though the film will be partly based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, in which Jane Foster becomes the new Thor. Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Christian Bale.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on February 11, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Love and Thunder and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
