Chris Hemsworth opened up about his daughter joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Thor: Love and Thunder.

At the start of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder, we are introduced to Gorr and his daughter, Love, stranded after their planet was destroyed. Love eventually dies, which leads to Gorr’s vow to destroy all gods.

When Gorr reaches Eternity at the end of the film, he brings back Love, who is then placed into Thor’s care due to his death. As it turns out, Love was played by Hemsworth’s real-life daughter, India. Now that the Thor sequel has hit theaters, Hemsworth decided to share a heartfelt post on Instagram about his daughter joining him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe:

“Here’s two pics of me and my daughter. One was the first time she was on set 11 years ago, the other is the most recent on Thor: Love and Thunder. She’s my favourite superhero.”

Here is the synopsis for the film:

The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

Directed by Taika Waititi and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, the Thor solo film stars Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Taika Waititi, Russell Crowe, Natalie Portman, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.
