The first photos from the Sydney set of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder have surfaced online.

Earlier this week, Chris Hemsworth showed off his physique for Thor: Love and Thunder on social media and teased that principal photography would begin at the end of this week. Well, the end of the week has arrived, and we now have our first glimpse at the highly-anticipated Thor sequel.

Daily Mail got their hands on some Thor: Love and Thunder set photos from Centennial Park in Sydney. The photos might not feature Chris Hemsworth or any cast members, but we do get a look at some brown rock formations that will most likely represent an alien world. Some online have already speculated that the set being built could be the home planet of Gorr the God Butcher, who will be portrayed by The Dark Knight Trilogy star Christian Bale. Full details on the plot for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder are currently being kept under locka nd key, though the film will be partly based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, in which Jane Foster becomes the new Thor. Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Christian Bale.
