Fans have been eagerly awaiting Chris Hemsworth’s next cinematic solo outing as Thor, which will see the return of Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster and director Taika Waititi, who also penned Thor: Ragnarok. Chris Hemsworth’s last adventure as Thor was in Avengers: Endgame, where the God came to terms with the sins of his past and the absolution of his home-planet. Now, in Thor: Love and Thunder, he’ll be reuniting with his love interest Jane Foster, something that will hopefully serve fans some considerable drama.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be more colorful and comical than Ragnarok, which shifted away from the Shakespearian inspiration that previous films in the Chris Hemsworth franchise had. One of the key components of the next film in the Thor franchise will be Valkyrie, who was crowned as New Asgard’s king, searching for her queen, making her one of the franchise’s first LGBTQ characters. Natalie Portman’s character is also expected to take on the mantle of Thor.
