‘The Avengers’ Concept Art Gives Chris Hemsworth’s Thor A ‘Biker Look’

From Asgard to 'Sons of Anarchy'.

A new concept design from The Avengers gives Chris Hemsworth’s Thor a “biker” look.

Chris Hemsworth’s Thor has gone through plenty of surprising changes since the early days of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and The Avengers, but a new concept design pictures the hero donning a biker look, at least according to artist Charlie Wen. Wen previously revealed an Ultimates-inspired costume for Thor which was more tactical and less regal than the God of Thunder that arrived on our screens. Seeing heroes don new costumes is one of the most fun parts of comic book movies, aside from the action and adventure of course, and this new Thor suit comes from pre-production on The Avengers.

The new design from Charlie Wen’s Instagram page shows off Chris Hemsworth’s Thor in the dark blue and silver armor with his iconic red cape, but it’s immediately obvious that he’s missing the chainmail sleeves and in the later images he’s also wearing a pair of bulky fingerless gloves. Wen explained this was one of Ultimates-inspired designs he created during pre-production on The Avengers, saying that Thor has a bit of a “biker” look in the art. Take a look below.
