Christopher Nolan’s upcoming biographic film, Oppenheimer, has added Black Widow star Florence Pugh and No Time To Die star Rami Malek to its cast.
Earlier this year, Christopher Nolan parted ways with Warner Bros after a nearly 20-year relationship. While the exact reason behind the departure is unclear, but the director has been critical of the studio’s decision to release all of its titles on its streaming platform in 2021. Earlier this year it was revealed that the director had found a new home with Universal Pictures. Later it was announced that the film he would be producing with the studio would be a biographical picture about J. Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb.
The film has already assembled an impressive cast with Cillian Murphy playing the titular Oppenheimer, Emily Blunt as his wife, Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer, Matt Damon as Lt. Gen. Leslie Groves, the director of The Manhattan Project, and Robert Downey Jr. as Atomic Energy Commissioner Lewis Strauss. Now the film has added more big names to its roster.
According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, Oppenheimer has cast Black Widow star Florence Pugh as Jean Tatlock. History remembers her as a member of the Communist Party of the United States who had an on-again-off-again affair with Oppenheimer which was a cause for some concerns among government officials. No Time To Die star Rami Malek has also joined the cast but the report did not say who he would be playing outside of a scientist.

Christopher Nolan also serves as a producer alongside his wife Emma Thomas, with Thomas Hayslip on board as an executive producer.
