Clémence Poésy and Adam Nagaitis are the first additions to the cast of the Walking Dead spin-off series focusing on Daryl Dixon.

AMC is developing a Walking Dead spin-off series revolving around Daryl Dixon, with Norman Reedus reprising his role as the fan-favorite zombie hunter. Melissa McBride was originally supposed to co-star as Carol Peletier, but the actress bowed out of the project due to its highly-demanding shoot, which is taking place in Europe.

Daryl Dixon is going to France

The Daryl Dixon series is set after the events of The Walking Dead and finds the titular character in Paris, France. According to Deadline, Clémence Poésy and Adam Nagaitis are set to co-star in the series opposite Reedus, playing two of the characters that Daryl encounters during his adventures in Europe.

Clémence Poésy has signed on to play the show’s female lead character, Isabelle, a member of a progressive religious group and an ally of Daryl Dixon. Meanwhile, Adam Nagaitis is playing Quinn, a British black marketer and owner of an underground nightclub known as the Demimonde.

David Zabel is serving as the showrunner of the Daryl Dixon series. The Walking Dead veterans Scott M. Gimple and Angela Kang are on board as executive producers. The series is expected to premiere in 2023 on AMC.

The Walking Dead is currently on its eleventh and final season on AMC. The last episode of the series airs on November 20th, ending a record-breaking run that began all the way back in October 2010.
