The upcoming The Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker book will not feature any concept art from Colin Trevorrow’s unmade Episode IX.
There have been plenty of Star Wars leaks in the past week. The major one was the various details coming from Colin Trevorrow’s version of Star Wars: Episode IX. Additionally, there have been some stunning concept art pieces that have surfaced from the upcoming book The Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Since details from Colin Trevorrow’s script have come out, some believe that some of the concept art in the upcoming Star Wars art book is actually from his Episode IX. This wouldn’t be unheard of since The Art of Star Wars: The Force Awakens did feature some art from George Lucas’ version of Episode VII. However, Colin Trevorrow confirmed on Twitter that The Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will not contain concept art from his unmade script:
Some beautiful work in here from artists I was lucky enough to work with, but nothing from our story. Credit where credit is due. Love @PhilSzostak’s books…
