Wonder Woman 1984 star Connie Nielsen recently explained that she isn’t sure if the film will be delayed again due to the coronavirus.

In a recent interview with ABC News, Wonder Woman 1984 star Connie Nielsen cast doubt on whether the DC film will make its August release date or if it’ll be delayed once again because of the coronavirus. The film has previously been pushed back a number of times since its original date was set for November 1, 2019. It was then pushed to December 13 before being pushed even further to June 5. It was one of a number of blockbusters affected by the pandemic, with Warner Bros. choosing to push the Wonder Woman sequel to August 14.

During the interview, Connie Nielsen explained that she “doesn’t know” about the August release date, but also expressed that she’s hoping it’ll finally make its way into cinemas. The Wonder Woman 1984 star went on to mention that if a vaccine for the coronavirus is developed then it’ll make the situation easier for everyone. She also mentioned that like many actors, she’s waiting to get back to work following the pandemic.

“I don’t know about the August deadline. I sure hope so. The mention of a remedy against this virus will certainly make everything a lot easier. Everyone is waiting to get back to work as well. We’re all waiting to get started on our next projects. Having access to a vaccine or at least a remedy will be a good thing for us all.”
