Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery is a common choice in fan casting for superhero films, whether it’d be for a Marvel or DC project among others. Given his roles in the hit Netflix series and Power Rangers, Dacre Montgomery already has some built-in goodwill and exposure from genre fans and with Marvel Studios developing a Fantastic Four project, some feel that he would make a great fit for the Human Torch.
The Human Torch was previously portrayed by Chris Evans in Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Michael B. Jordan played the character in Josh Trank’s 2015 Fantastic Four reboot.

A Fantastic Four film was not included in Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed a Fantastic Four project is being developed towards the end of panel.
