Watchmen showrunner Damon Lindelof had nothing but nice things to say about Ms. Marvel.

Damon Lindelof has played a role in some of the biggest franchises in pop culture and also delivered one of the greatest comic book shows of all time in Watchmen for HBO. Lindelof is a noted fan of Marvel Studios films but also recently confessed he would like to see them slow down.

Lindelof Shares His Thoughts On Marvel’s Latest

With the addition of shows, Phase Four’s total runtime has surpassed Marvel Studios’ first three phases combined. Despite the high volume of shows, Damon Lindelof is still keeping up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and recently took some time to give high praise to Ms. Marvel on Instagram:

“… and speaking of Marvel, this is one of the best things I saw on any network, streamer or movie screen in the past year. Originality masked in I.P… and a cultural authenticity that dares the entire industry to rise to it. As the imam of Kamala’s mosque eloquently puts it – ‘Good is not a thing you are. It is a thing you do.'”

Here is the synopsis for Ms. Marvel:

Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?

The series stars Iman Vellani, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Matt Lintz, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Fawad Khan, Mehwish Hayat, and Farhan Akhtar. Episodes of the series were directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, with Bisha K. Ali serving as the head writer. Marvel’s Kevin Feige is involved in the series as an executive producer.

Ms. Marvel is streaming on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more original video content.
