Director Cary Joji Fukunaga gives fans a preview of Daniel Craig’s final James Bond film in a new No Time to Die featurette.

After portraying the character in four previous films, Danie Craig will make his final appearance as James Bond in the highly-anticipated No Time to Die. Now, director Cary Joji Fukunaga has given fans new insight into Daniel Craig’s final James Bond film in a new No Time to Die featurette filled with new footage from the latest chapter of the 007 film franchise.

Taking place after Daniel Craig’s James Bond has retired from active service, No Time to Die will find 007 facing new challenges when he returns for one last mission. In the No Time to Die featurette, Cary Joji Fukunaga discussed how the changing world will impact Daniel Craig’s James Bond:

“It was essential to rediscover Bond. Where is he? After five years of retirement, who has he become? He’s sort of a wounded animal struggling with his role as a 00. The world’s changed. The rules of engagement aren’t what they used to be. The rules of espenionage, darker in this era of asymetcal warfare.”

Fans hoping No Time to Die will end Daniel Craig’s tenure as James Bond on a high note will likely be thrilled to hear Cary Joji Fukunaga say, “we aimed to do something extraordinary with this one.”

Here is the official synopsis for Daniel Craig’s No Time to Die:

Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.
