The Suicide Squad star Daniela Melchior reunited with director James Gunn on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Daniela Melchior was one of the breakout stars coming out of James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad last year and is following it up with a role in Fast X. Gunn also mentioned several The Suicide Squad actors would appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Melchior Will Be in Guardians After All!
Then a popular rumor pegged Daniela Melchior as Moondragon until James Gunn shot it down on Twitter. However, Deadline reported on Wednesday that Melchior would have a small role in the third and final film of Gunn’s trilogy, which wrapped filming last month. Both Gunn and Melchior went on to confirm the report on social media, and you can see their posts below.

Before James Gunn’s sequel, the Guardians will turn up in Thor: Love and Thunder next:
The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
Directed by Taika Waititi and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, and Russell Crowe.
Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on July 8, 2022, while Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Daniela Melchior’s future projects, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
