‘Daredevil’ Actors Want A Crossover With Spider-Man

Spider-Man Daredevil

In a recent interview, a number of the cast members of Daredevil revealed that they want a crossover with Spider-Man.

During the interview, Karen Page actress Deborah Ann Woll stated that she wanted to see everyone’s favorite web crawler team up with the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen:

Can I say Spider-Man now? I mean, I’ll say this: I actually really enjoy out there fighting aliens and Matt Murdock is defending the crap out of ten blocks of Manhattan. That’s, I think, really exciting that you can do this small level kind of real people stuff. I enjoy our small level scale, and I think these little hints are the fun bits.

The one that most will probably be interested in, however, is Vincent D’Onofrio saying that he would want a crossover with Spider-Man:

The fans would kill me if I didn’t say Spidey. Spidey would be really nice to drop by Daredevil.

You can see the video of the cast members talking about this below:

Such a sentiment is not surprising. The two characters have crossed over numerous times since first debuting in Marvel Comics. Wilson Fisk himself originally began as a Spider-Man villain and only became the archenemy of Daredevil during Frank Miller’s run on the character in the 80s. How something like this may happen in practical terms, however, may be a bit more difficult.

The big difference between the main Marvel Cinematic Universe films and the Netflix shows is style and tone. The main films are mostly safe, PG-13 related fairs while shows like Daredevil and Luke Cage push the boundaries of what you can show in a television series without hitting the MA rating. This, however, has not stopped Vincent D’Onofrio from playing coy about a potential appearance in a Spider-Man film on Twitter. Whether or not this happens, however, is anyone’s guess.

Here is a plot synopsis for the latest season of Daredevil:

Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world, or embracing his destiny as a hero.

Daredevil season 3 stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Wilson Bethel, Jay Ali, and Lesley Ann Warren.

Daredevil season 3 is currently available to stream on Netflix.
