Is Daredevil: Born Again going back to basics? A producer for the series reveals the first public details about season 3 of the beloved show.
Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. The series expands its scope to the entirety of New York, focusing on a war between Mayor Wilson Fisk and the vigilante community. However, with season 3 already confirmed, fans are questioning where the show can go from there.
The answer? Back. Executive producer Sana Amanat recently spoke to Empire Magazine about the future of Daredevil: Born Again. While she didn’t say much, she did briefly touch upon season 3. It seems as though the creative team is going to try to reset the stakes of the character, reverting things to its base elements to find a new core for the series.
“We are trying to make it more stripped-down, back-to-basics Daredevil. The ideas we have are places we haven’t gone before, and that’s really thrilling.”
A New Direction For Daredevil: Born Again
Given so much of the series’ original run focused on The Hand, it’s likely that season 3 will be focusing on the more grounded elements of the Daredevil mythos that were glazed over. This would allow Daredevil: Born Again season 3 to incorporate many fan-favorite elements that the internet has been begging to see for nearly a decade.
Perhaps the most interesting villain that could be used for Daredevil: Born Again season 3 is Typhoid Mary. She’s perhaps the most prominent member of the hero’s rogues gallery that has yet to be seen in live-action. And, given the series’ producer teases a place the show hasn’t gone before, a mutant-focused storyline could be long overdue.
Daredevil: Born Again is now streaming on Disney Plus, with season 2 set to release in March 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
