It was recently announced that Marvel Studios would be entirely reworking the Daredevil: Born Again Disney Plus series. However, according to a new rumor, the show would’ve started off adapting an iconic Marvel Comics storyline.

From all of the information fans have on the prior version of Daredevil: Born Again, it seems as though the Disney Plus series was going to focus heavily on Matt Murdock’s life as a lawyer. This newest rumor seems to reaffirm those details, stating that Marvel Studios had plans to adapt the classic The Trial of White Tiger storyline as the show’s first major arc.

“It would’ve focused on Matt [Murdock] taking on Hector Ayala as a client after he stopped a mugging,” Insider CanWeGetSomeToast explains. “It turns out the mugging he stopped was actually some corrupt cops who were trying to silence an informant before he could get to trial. One of the police officers accidentally dies in the process, leaving Hector labeled as a cop-killer.”

Given Marvel Studios is going to try to rework some of the footage from Daredevil: Born Again into its new plans, it’s likely fans will still see The Trial of White Tiger adapted in some form on Disney Plus. Hopefully for fans of the original Marvel Comics, the new version will feature a lot more action!

What to expect from the new Daredevil series

Marvel Studios recently scrapped the entire creative team for Daredevil: Born Again due to internal criticism. The previous incarnation of the show focused mainly on the legal aspects of Matt Murdock, with the hero not suiting up until episode 4. The series is expected to go through a complete creative rework to focus more on “action and violence”.

Little is known of Daredevil: Born Again, with plot details being kept under wraps. Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, Sandrine Holt, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Nikki M. James and Michael Gaston are set to appear in the series opposite Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, a.k.a Kingpin.

Daredevil: Born Again currently has no release date for Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
