Could Muse be the true villain of Daredevil: Born Again? A new rumor teases the character’s upcoming role along with Kingpin’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The idea of Kingpin and Matt Murdock reuniting in the MCU through Daredevil: Born Again has had fans frothing at the mouth. While the excitement is warranted, it’s made many forget that Wilson Fisk won’t be the only villain in the upcoming Disney Plus series. He’s all but confirmed to be joined by the Marvel comics villain Muse.
Little is known about Muse (mostly because the rumor mill has chosen to focus on the behind-the-scenes drama with Daredevil: Born Again). However, some information has come out about the character’s role in the MCU through Hollywood insider Alex Perez at the Cosmic Circus. During a recent Q&A, the scooper explained that Muse will be a sinister agent of Chaos, putting him at odds against both Matt Murdock and the Kingpin Wilson Fisk.
Kingpin’s Future As An MCU Big Bad
It seems Wilson Fisk isn’t just making enemies of the Muse in Daredevil: Born Again. In the same report, Alex Perez revealed that Kingpin’s mayoral storyline will continue on past the Disney Plus series. This will likely pose Fisk as the villain in other MCU projects down the line.
This lines up with prior rumors and statements from Kingpin’s actor Vincent D’Onofrio, who revealed he wants Wilson Fisk to come to blows with Spider-Man in the MCU. It was never likely for his story to end in Daredevil: Born Again, but it is good to hear that the most devious villain in New York City has a healthy future in the Marvel universe!
