Kingpin finally getting back into the fray! The latest BTS photos from Daredevil: Born Again teases Vincent D’Onofrio may have a major fight scene in season 2.
If there’s one thing any fan should know about Kingpin, it’s that he never shies away from a fight. However, recently, it seems as though Vincent D’Onofrio’s version of the character has been putting violence on the sidelines. Most fights with him in it in recent projects have either been complete stomps or mercy killings. This has left many to wonder if the character may finally get a fair fight in Daredevil: Born Again season 2.
Things are certainly looking up when it comes to the prospect. The latest BTS photos from production on Daredevil: Born Again season 2 suggest that the Mayor of New York is…in a boxing match? Yes, Vincent D’Onofrio’s mug has been plastered all over fight banners, with Kingpin fighting someone called “Matterhorn” in Fogwell’s gym.

Kingpin’s Charity Boxing Match
Details about these BTS photos have actually found their way onto social media. Chris Gallardo, who serves as a writer for sites like Popternative and the Hollywood Handle, reveals that the event is far from a stunt. Rather, Kingpin actually goes in and beats the tar out of Matterhorn personally, teasing yet another brutal performance by Vincent D’Onofrio.

Of course, this event likely isn’t going to go as planned. Reports suggest that both Bullseye and Daredevil will be making an appearance during Kingpin’s boxing event. Most likely, Bullseye will continue his assassinations attempts leading into season 2, with Matt trying to spare Kingpin’s life. Though given Vincent D’Onofrio still hasn’t been in a Spider-Man movie, it’s all but guaranteed Bullseye won’t succeed!
