Is Daredevil: Born Again better than ever? Critics tease a darker tone and massive improvements headed into season 2 of the Disney Plus series.
Daredevil: Born Again was largely considered pretty good upon its release. While the series did have its problems, largely stemming from the limitations put on the new creative team following the show’s overhaul, hopes have been high for season 2. And it seems every promotion that comes out leading to its release this month is only building those hopes higher and higher.
Luckily, it seems as though Daredevil: Born Again was able to stick the landing. First reactions for season 2 have officially hit the net, and it seems everyone that got an advanced copy of the series is more than pleased. Perhaps the biggest point of praise is how dark the show gets, teasing a truly brutal return to Hell’s Kitchen for longtime fans.
No spoilers from me. I’m five episodes into Daredevil: Born Again S2 and it is an improvement on S1. It reminds me of the Netflix seasons, with more impactful fights and time for characters to shine. Things are really building in each episode and I can’t wait to watch 6-8 tonight pic.twitter.com/YNAARYBZIw

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is MORE BRUTAL, DARKER, and VICIOUS. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio continue to put in their dues, the action is ramped up, and new faces (see Matthew Lillard) captivate. It takes a few surprising turns that excite fans too! #DaredevilBornAgain pic.twitter.com/MpnGzCuWjy

#DaredevilBornAgain S2 is pure unadulterated mayhem, with unreal action sequences that really take things to another level. This is the MCU at its finest, and Cox has never been better! Can’t wait for what’s next! pic.twitter.com/lYv4V9K2Ez

The Story Of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2
Despite the showrunners now having complete control over Daredevil: Born Again, it seems as though season 2 is still tying up all the loose threads left by the first season. The series is taking its focus underground, focusing on Matt Murdock and Karen Page fighting against Wilson Fisk’s anti-vigilante task force alongside heroes like Jessica Jones.
It’s an avenue that’s almost entirely new to Daredevil: Born Again and its predecessors – focusing more on revolutionary organizing than the solitary stories that the franchise has been renowned for. Though given these reactions, this change in dynamic may have helped season 2 stand out from the pattern established by its freshman outing.
Daredevil: Born Again is now streaming on Disney Plus, with season 2 set to release in March 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
